Attendance to the 28th Symposium on Fusion Technology (SOFT) in San Sebastian (Spain)

The 28th annual International Symposium on Fusion Technology was held in San Sebastian (Spain) on 29 September 2014. It brought together a large number of scientists specialized in the various areas required to tackle the challenges of creating a cheap, clean and safe energy by fusion. Researchers from around the world presented and discussed their latest advances in designing nuclear fusion experiments and the technologies required to build this type of equipment.

The Test Blanket Systems (TBS) modeling work, for which a set of EcosimPro simulation libraries were developed, was presented during this important encounter. The characteristics of the modeled system, the details of the model finally used and the results of the various simulations were explained in details to a good number of attendees who expressed their interest in the matter.
