PHYSIOLOGICAL library
General description
The purpose of this library is to demonstrate how circulation systems are modelled at a physiological level.
For this library we have developed a port for the blood flow and the components that represent the basic elements of the human body: heart, arteries and veins, lungs, arms, legs,...
Palette of symbols
Ports description
- Physi: This port type represents the blood circulation: blood mass flow and pressure.
Components description
- Aorta: Represents the aorta.
- Arms: Represents the arms.
- Cava: Represents the vena cava.
- Head: Represents the head.
- Legs: Represents the legs.
- Lungs: Represents the lungs.
- Trunk: Represents the trunk.
- Ventricle: Represents a heart ventricle.
Physiological example
Physbe
This model represents blood circulation through the human body.
For this example we have created an "exp1" experiment which consists in a 5 second integration (about 5 heartbeats) in which we can see the pressures in different organs and parts and the associated evolution of volumes.
