THERMAL ANALYSIS
The phenomena of heat transfer between materials appear in a variety of industrial facilities and systems, such as in power generating plants between the fluid and the walls, or thermal interactions between the different electronic devices, or the platform and the space environment in a satellite.
A consistent representation of a system should include these energy transfer phenomena, not only when they form part of the process to be studied — such as in a heat exchanger or a heat pipe, but also when they represent energy losses due to heat transfer to the walls, or when the temperature differences may affect other adjacent systems or provoke thermoelastic phenomena in the structure.

THERMAL LIBRARY
THERMAL is a standard library supplied with EcosimPro. It contains components to predict temperature distributions and heat flows in systems and devices using the thermal network method. It entails modelling a continuous medium as a discrete thermal network of nodes representing the capacitance of the system linked by conductors representing its conductance. Heat transfer by conduction and by radiation can be represented with the components included in this library.
