MECHANICAL SYSTEMS
One-dimensional mechanical systems frequently feature as part of others which are more complex; for example, transmission systems in wind turbines or wind reactors, or forming part of and interacting with multidisciplinary systems as in the case of sensors, actuators, axes or masses in hydraulic, pneumatic, electromechanical systems, etc.
To correctly simulate these complex systems, we must have components that correctly represent the physical behaviour of these mechanical parts - such as friction or inertia – and which are easy to integrate into models of other disciplines.
EcosimPro has specialised libraries to represent this type of physical behaviour. The library components interconnect and exchange information through ports. Components both from the same library and from different libraries can be connected, giving EcosimPro a multidisciplinary character.
Libraries
MECHANICAL
MECHANICAL is a standard library which is supplied with EcosimPro and contains components to model one-dimensional translational and rotational mechanical systems. The library has been designed to run fast stiffness simulations, even with coupled friction elements. The user can quickly create a diagram of the mechanical system to be analysed, the representation of which is very similar to the physical system. Thanks to EcosimPro’s features, the MECHANICAL library is very easy to configure and extend.
